1. Plan. A NARRATIVE is an element that implies a story. Artwork that is "narrative" makes us question what is happening in the picture. An illustration is an example of narrative art, because it gives a visual image of what is happening in the written story.
We will be using book pages to prompt our illustration. Find what interests you on the page and think about interesting ways to depict it. The words of the page can be incorporated into your drawing, or used as a backdrop to add pattern and texture to the background.
