MONOCHROMATIC means using only one color (plus its tints and shades--adding black and white). Notice how the artists above added visual interest, layering, and space (depth) to their piece with the use of only one color!
For this project, we will be picking a natural object for inspiration. Think of feathers, seeds, leaves, seashells, coral, vines, flowers, etc. Repeat the object in an interesting way--overlapping, differing in size, balanced or unbalanced on your page. . .
Pick a single color to use and plan where the darker shades and lighter tints will be placed.
**Note: Darker shades naturally recede into the background. Think about putting them towards the back.
