1. Practice! Interior Designers are artists who plan, choose, and oftentimes assemble indoor spaces. They use LINEAR PERSPECTIVE in their designs to create the illusion of SPACE. Watch the below video and practice putting shapes into 1-point perspective using the attached handout.

2. Design. Use the attached grid to plan your room BY HAND. Remember to include lighting, flooring, furniture that accommodates function, and decor.

3. Digital Design. You will be creating both a CONCEPT BOARD--a document that shows materials, products and styles that you are considering for your room, and a finished digital room design. Look below at student examples of each. Review the TRANSFORM menu of Adobe Photoshop (Edit>Transform>Warp, Perspective, Scale) to create the desired space.
